Visit by the Japan-America Society of the State of Washington

On May 19, 2026, Ms. Misa Murohashi, Executive Director of the Japan-America Society of the State of Washington, visited Aoyama Business School (ABS).

During the visit, Ms. Murohashi met with Professor Taka Hosoda, Dean of ABS. Assistant Professor David Nichols and Research Assistant Kim Kayon also joined the meeting.

At the beginning of the discussion, Dean Hosoda expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality and generous support provided by the Japan-America Society during the Seattle study tour held this past February.

The meeting then turned to next year’s Seattle study tour, with participants exchanging a wide range of ideas and suggestions. Discussions covered potential visits to new companies, possible new program themes, approaches to organizing company visits, and practical arrangements including hotels and flights.

In addition, the Japan-America Society kindly agreed in principle to host both the welcome party on the first day of the program and the final presentation event, further strengthening expectations for future collaboration.

The discussion highlighted the continued development of the ABS Seattle study tour, which is expected to become an even more enriching program that combines international perspectives with hands-on learning experiences.
